BIRUNGA SACCO MUSANZE is a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) established following the consolidation of 15 U-SACCOs operating within MUSANZE District, in accordance with the Government of Rwanda SACCO's consolidation framework. 

BIRUNGA SACCO MUSANZE is looking for qualified, competent, committed, proactive and self-motivated individual to occupy the following positions at Head office and Branch level:

Position: TELLER

Number: 4

Main Responsibilities of TELLER

Under the supervision and guidance of the Branch Operations Officer/Outlet responsible, the Teller has the following main responsibilities: 

  1. To work diligently on the assigned work on time and to produce results;
  2.  To comply with the instructions of the employer or his/her representative;
  3. To take good care of and oversee the equipment assigned to him/her in his/her work;
  4. To be at work and respect working days and hours;
  5. To keep the confidentiality of work;
  6.  To deliver basic identification documents before starting work;
  7. To follow the principles and codes of perform governing the business activities of the Cooperative;
  8. Conducts cash related services to customers/ members, e.g., withdrawals and deposits;
  9. Initiates transfers from customer/member accounts, e.g., interbranch transfer;
  10. Performs cheques related services to customers/ members, e.g., crediting a cheque;
  11. Performs disbursements of loans;
  12. Performs change of coinage and foreign exchanges;
  13. Supports in opening, filling, discharging, and closing a till;
  14. Performs cross-selling;
  15. To welcome and assist members who need services related to deposits and withdrawals;
  16. To receive and pay members or customers the approved amount;
  17. To oversee the till/store he/she is tasked with;
  18. To fill out the member's booklet correctly;
  19. Participate in the closing of the daily operations of the Cooperative, especially the control of funds;
  20. deliver all documents supporting his/her daily operations;
  21. Be held accountable for all errors that appear in his daily operations, including the shortage or excess/ surplus of funds;
  22. Perform other duties that do not conflict with the laws and regulations required by the supervisor or his/her superior authority.

Minimum Requirements

  1. At least secondary education (A2) in related domain;
  2. Basic IT literacy of CBS and Office;
  3. Ability to manage transactions accurately and responsibly;
  4. Good math skills;
  5. Attention to detail;
  6. Customer satisfaction oriented.

  • Proof of experience;
  • Any other relevant supporting documents to prove experience and skills.
