Employment Type: Under Contract

Reports To: Director of Legal Metrology Unit

Job Responsibilities

- Perform verification, type approval, and metrological controls of taxi/auto meters and timers.
- Ensure the measurement traceability of taximeter verification standards is maintained.
- Ensure fees allocated to verification activities are deposited according to established procedures.
- perform legal metrology activities, including metrological controls, verification, and initiate necessary follow-up actions.
- deliver reports to the direct supervisor on work performed and matters affecting the unit and the execution of activities.
- Complete and keep records of daily activities.
- keep the Quality Management System of the laboratory and other standards by conducting activities in accordance with RS 438:2021 and applicable procedures.
- execute the law governing metrology in Rwanda, ministerial orders, regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Account for monthly revenue generated from laboratory activities related to pre-packaged commodities in number, length, and area controls.
- keep the laboratory in a clean and organized manner at all times.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the direct supervisor or any other duly authorized person.
- Operate in compliance with organizational regulations and rules.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Engineering – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering – 0 Year of relevant experience.
