Employment Type: Under Contract

Reports To: Director of Biotechnology Laboratories Unit

Job Responsibilities

- Receive and ensure proper storage of samples.
- Carry out tests and produce reports.
- produce media and reagents.
- oversee reference cultures.
- perform technical evaluation of received culture media.
- Check the quality performance of culture media and keep records.
- execute and participate in the evaluate of the Microbiology Laboratory Quality Management System.
- keep and track assigned microbiology equipment and retain records.
- Initiate and update laboratory management on new technologies to enhance the quality of results and minimize testing duration.
- Perform other activities assigned by the supervisor.
- Participate in standardization activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Biological Sciences – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Genetic Engineering – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences – 0 Year of relevant experience.

Required Competencies and Key Technical Skills

- Analytical skills.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage.
