Reports To: Director of Biotechnology Laboratories Unit

Job Responsibilities

- keep, track, and record the performance of the autoclave used for decontamination.
- Compile and keep records of laboratory ware.
- Collect and transfer used laboratory ware to the wash-up room from designated areas of various laboratories.
- Decontaminate microbiology laboratory ware and waste.
- Clean glassware and laboratory coats.
- Report broken glassware for replacement.
- detect and requisition controlled document laboratory cleaning consumables.
- Issue clean glassware to laboratory analysts.
- Keep the washroom clean and well organized.

Qualifications

- Diploma (A2) in Chemistry – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Diploma (A2) in Biology – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Diploma (A2) in related combinations of Biology and Chemistry – 0 Year of relevant experience.
- Diploma (A2) in Medical Laboratory – 0 Year of relevant experience.

Required Competencies and Key Technical Skills

- Resource management skills.
- Fluency in English, Kinyarwanda, and/or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage.
- Time management skills.
- Risk management skills.
- Results oriented.
- Digital literacy skills.
