The Coordination Office of the Partnership between Rhineland-Palatinate and Rwanda (Jumelage) oversees most of the projects carried out within the framework of the partnership.

The Coordination Office of the Partnership Rhineland-Palatinate/Rwanda is looking for a Finance Officer

General tasks:

  • To produce and deliver documents for diverse financial transactions
  • To summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, individual financial statements and other reports
  • To produce payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
  • To perform the correct transfer of funds from diverse partners
  • To take care of all daily accounting activities and bookkeeping
  • To produce invoices for diverse partners 
  • To produce, track and follow up on monthly payments
  • To deliver financial information to management by researching and analyzing relevant data
  • To deliver accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • To produce the request for funds
  • To produce and deliver diverse financial reports
  • To assist the preparation of the annual budget and deliver all necessary information for the regular budget follow-up

Required qualifications and competencies:

  • A university degree (Bachelor level) in accounting or finance
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard accounting software and of MS Office programs 
  • Strong knowledge of all current laws and regulations related to finance 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda, German and French language skills are an asset
  • General profound math skills
  • Being proactive 
  • Service-oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team-oriented way of working
  • High organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility and reliable in work results
