Job Responsibilities

- Plan and organize plant tissue culture and regeneration activities for banana, cassava, and potato.
- create and optimize tissue culture and embryogenic cell suspension protocols.
- Supervise large-scale multiplication and quality control of in vitro plant materials.
- organize regeneration, acclimatization, and transfer of plantlets to greenhouse and screenhouse facilities.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs for tissue culture laboratories and biosafety requirements.
- Train RAB staff and students in tissue culture techniques.
- keep documentation and traceability of plant materials.
- Supervise tissue culture technicians and laboratory assistants.
- assist the preparation of plant materials for trials, breeding, and seed systems.
- produce technical reports and scientific publications.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Crop Production – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Master's Degree in Agronomy – 5 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Plant Breeding – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Master's Degree in Plant Breeding – 5 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Crop Science – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Master's Degree in Crop Production – 5 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Protection – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Plant Biotechnology – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree in Crop Protection – 5 Years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree in Plant Biotechnology – 5 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology – 10 Years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology – 5 Years of relevant experience.
