Reports To:Plant & Microbial Biotechnology Program Coordinator Senior Principal Research Fellow

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee implementation of BioCap project activities in accordance with approved work plans and budgets.
• Facilitate the day-to-day functions of the Project Principal Investigator (PI) in Rwanda.
• organize scientific, technical, and administrative teams to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
• Liaise with development partners, collaborating institutions, and national regulators to facilitate project implementation.
• track project performance against targets and indicators and produce consolidated technical and financial progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with donor, biosafety, regulatory, and institutional requirements.
• assist stakeholder engagement, communication, and visibility of biotechnology programs.
• execute any other activity assigned by the Project Principal Investigator (PI).

Qualifications

PhD in Plant pathology - 12 Years of relevant experience

PhD in Plant Biotechnology -  12 Years of relevant experience

PhD in Moleculor Biolog - 12 Years of relevant experience

PHD in Plant Breeding - 12 Years of relevant experience

• Knowledge in conflict management
• Ability to work as a team coordinator and make decisions with minimal assist
• Good organisational and time management skills, detail oriented with ability to plan workload and prioritize;
• Strong leadership and decision making skills with ability to make decisions under pressure, able to prioritize and stick to prioritization;
• Ability to oversee stakeholder relationships and interact at all levels
