Reports To
Aquaculture and Fisheries Program Coordinator Senior Research Fellow

Job responsibilities

  • help with spawning, egg incubation and fry rearing operations
  • track water quality parameters (temperature, oxygen levels, pH, etc.)
  • Feed and care for fry and fingerlings following prescribed feeding schedules
  • Clean and keep hatchery tanks, equipment and filtration systems
  • detect and report any signs of disease or abnormalities in fish stocks
  • Perform routine sampling, weighing and grading of fry and fingerlings
  • keep detailed records on fish growth, survival rates and environmental conditions
  • Follow biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks
  • help with harvesting, packaging and transporting fish as needed

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Aquaculture - 2 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Aquaculture - 3 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries - 3 Years of relevant experience
Master’s Degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries - 2 Years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries - 3 Years of relevant experience
