Employment Type: Under Contract

Reports To: Director of Access to Justice Coordination Unit

Job Responsibilities

- Receive and assess complaints from individuals, groups, institutions, and other organizations and advise them on how to benefit from Justice Services.
- Carry out research on basic sources of the most common mischief and deliver advice accordingly.
- organize and execute court judgments and mediators’ resolutions whenever called upon.
- produce and submit timely monthly reports on the execution of all judgments in the sector.
- Sensitize local leaders in charge of judgment execution follow-up and report on payment of government legal fees and charges.
- Carry out field visits to Local Mediation Committees and follow up on how they carry out their activities.
- execute official decisions related to the functioning of Mediation Committees at the sector level.
- Carry out public awareness on commonly used laws.
- perform regular meetings with target groups on used laws.
- Receive claims involving Mediation Committees and deliver appropriate solutions and guidance to claimants.
- Participate in the organization of meetings and training sessions for local leaders and Mediators.
- Assess training needs of the Mediation Committees, propose areas of improvement, and submit them at Central level.
- produce and submit monthly and any requested periodic reports on Abunzi activities.
- Distribute materials, documents, and work tools to Mediation Committees to facilitate Mediators in their activities.
- deliver legal advice and guidance to Local Mediators related to the mandate and activities of Mediation Committees.
- Receive and assess complaints from individuals, groups, institutions, and other organizations and advise them on how to benefit from Justice Services.
- produce and submit monthly and any requested periodic reports on GBV cases.
- Perform any other task directed by his/her supervisor.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Law – 0 Year of relevant experience.
