Job responsibilities

-Oversee Maintenance planning, MEMMS, equipment lifecycle management, budgeting, reporting, and coordination with clinical departments

-Install, test, keep, and repair biomedical equipment.

-Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on medical devices.

-Troubleshoot equipment failures and organize repairs.

-Ensure medical equipment meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

-Train healthcare workers on the proper use of medical equipment.

-Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and performance.

-collaborate with doctors, nurses, technicians, and hospital management to detect equipment needs.

-Assist with procurement, evaluation, and selection of medical equipment.

-assist the development or improvement of medical devices and technologies.

-track equipment performance and recommend replacement or upgrades when necessary.-

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Clinical Engineering

5 Years of relevant experience

Master' degree in Healthcare technology with experience in Bio-medical maintenance

5 Years of relevant experience

Master's degree of sciences in engineering with specialization in Biomedical engineering

5 Years of relevant experience

Required certificates

Valid License to practice issued professional council in Rwanda

Required competencies and key technical skills

Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate with others under pressure & solve problems

High level of integrity and professional ethics;

Staff supervisory experience and demonstrated organizational skills
