Professional Training Opportunity

Holland GreenTech – VDS Acampo Ltd (HGT) is a Rwandan company advancing horticulture across Africa. We offer solutions across the horticulture value chain — including high-quality seeds, equipment, greenhouses, irrigation systems, and technical assist — to help farmers increase productivity, profitability, and resilience.

Under the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture-Rwanda (YEA-R) program, funded by the Mastercard Foundation, HGT has been engaged by SNV Netherlands Development Organization as the Specialized Greenhouse Horticulture Enterprise to train, certify, and integrate 160 young women and men into its commercial ecosystem as Greenhouse Installation & Maintenance Technicians (20) and Agribusiness Sales Agents (20).

Training Opportunities

1. Greenhouse & Irrigation Installation & Maintenance Technicians

Participants will receive practical, hands-on training during the installation of five commercial greenhouses. As the training is field-based, the location will vary depending on where each greenhouse is being installed. Each installation is expected to last approximately 5–8 days, giving participants real-world experience under the guidance of experienced professionals.

2. Sales Agents

Participants will receive an intensive two-day training focused on agricultural sales, customer engagement, greenhouse technologies, and product knowledge to produce them for careers as professional sales agents in the horticulture sector.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be between 16 and 35 years of age.
• Have completed at least Senior 3 (S3) or an equivalent level of secondary education.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in greenhouse technologies, irrigation systems, or agricultural sales.
• Be willing to travel and, if offered employment opportunities after the training, be flexible to work in different districts or regions of Rwanda.
• Be committed, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Be a resident of one of the eligible districts listed below.

What Participants Will Receive

• Free professional training delivered by experienced industry professionals.
• Practical, hands-on learning in real working environments (for technician trainees).
• A Certificate of Completion upon successfully completing the training.
• A small transport stipend to help cover movement costs during the training.
• Opportunity to be connected with potential employers and job opportunities immediately after successfully completing the training.

Training Period

The training is scheduled to begin mid-August 2026.

• A copy of their National ID (or other accepted identification).
• A copy of their highest academic certificate or school report showing completion of at least S3.
• An updated CV (if available).
• A letter of Interest Mentioning which training you’d want to participate or focus on between Greenhouse Technician, Irrigation Technician and Sales Agent.
