Job responsibilities

He/ she must be registered with the Institution of Engineers Rwanda proven by a valid practicing certificate.

• oversee all aspects of a construction project from start to finish, including overseeing schedules, resources, and budgets.
• evaluate and create construction plans and technical documents, ensuring designs are feasible.
• perform site inspections to track progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Perform cost estimates and track expenses to keep the project within budget.
• create and communicate a viable design concept based on client objectives.
• Create schematic designs through iterative evaluation processes.
• produce detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
• organize project documentation and obtain agreement from clients and stakeholders.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Deep understanding of government policies implementation;
• Deep understanding of construction material engineering;
• Good understanding of construction material laboratory management;

• Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French. Knowledge of all is an advantage.
