Job Responsibilities

- create, design, and execute new software solutions or modify and upgrade existing systems.
- deliver quality assurance and technical evaluation of new and legacy systems and software products.
- Ensure the application of best practices, professional software development methodologies, relevant tool suites, technologies, creativity, and innovation in all software development projects.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and delivery.
- Contribute to the preparation and documentation of concept notes, Terms of Reference (ToR), requirements, and software specification documents.
- Create wireframes and system prototypes to define layouts and workflows.
- Write and execute efficient, clean, well-designed, testable, and well-documented code.
- execute system integrations to ensure interoperability.
- Perform required system upgrades.
- evaluate code and code segments from other developers for accuracy and functionality.
- Ensure code ownership and keep secure code repositories for sector software projects.
- Ensure proper version control and release management.
- Perform quality assurance and testing by creating test plans and executing tests.
- Optimize software performance.
- Ensure data integrity and security of sector systems.
- detect areas for enhancement in existing systems and create required improvements.
- Resolve system defects and software bugs.
- Research and create proof-of-concept solutions using new technologies to enhance software development.
- Customize open-source solutions to address specific sector needs.
- Deploy developed solutions to the production environment.
- Train system users.
- Ensure maintenance and assist of sector systems.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

- Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Diploma in Computer Science – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Diploma in Information and Communication Technology – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technology – 3 Years of relevant experience.
- Master’s Degree in Software Engineering – 1 Year of relevant experience.
