Since inception Letshego Rwanda has been operating as a regulated credit only microfinance company. Letshego Holdings Limited was incorporated in 1998; it’s headquartered in Gaborone and has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2002. It is an inclusive finance focused group with consumer, micro-lending and deposit-taking subsidiaries across sub-Saharan Africa.

An opening has arisen within Letshego Rwanda Limited LRL for the below-mentioned position. This role is tenable at LRL. The incumbent will serve as a key member of the Country management team (CMC). The requirements of the role are outlined below:

POSITION: People and Culture Manager

Reports to: The incumbent will report to Chief Executive Officer.

Location: Head Office (Kigali, Rwanda)

Purpose of the Job:

To guide, create, and execute country human capital management strategies that will enable an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment, and empowerment. tasked with developing processes and metrics that assist the achievement of the country’s business goals

Key Accountabilities:

  1. tasked with the country human capital strategy aligned with the Group's people culture and strategy to contribute to a motivated workforce.
  2. Forecasts resource requirements to enable business goals and objectives.
  3. tasked with creating a compelling Letshego employer brand that attracts diverse, experienced, and capable talent.
  4. Ensures performance management programs, supporting systems, and processes align with strategy and goals, driving the annual country performance evaluate process.
  5. tasked with talent development, succession planning, and management programs.
  6. tasked with competitive rewards programs to attract and retain key players in a highly competitive industry.
  7. tasked with the succession planning process to ensure management and professional readiness to meet the subsidiary's growth plans
  8. tasked with measuring metrics that assist business goals, necessary aspects of human capital, and training and development.
  9. Oversees the learning and development program in line with business requirements.
  10. Ensures adherence to HC policies and procedures to promote a conducive working environment.
  11. tasked with promoting people wellness through the implementation of a wellness strategy.
  12. Provides advice in disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  13. Implements the strategies and policies approved by the Board, developing processes that adequately detect, measure, track, and control risks faced by the institution.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  1. A degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or any other related field.
  2. Master’s degree in organizational psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field will be an added advantage
  3. Minimum of 7 years of working experience in human resources management with 3 years human resource senior management role.
  4. Membership of a professional association will be an added advantage
