I. Role Summary

The Foreman is tasked with overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring that all buses are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and cleanliness. The role involves supervising maintenance activities, enforcing quality control, managing spare parts usage, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures. The Foreman plays a key role in minimizing downtime, maintaining accurate records, and supporting efficient fleet operations.

2. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise routine and scheduled bus maintenance for safety and reliability.
• Enforce garage quality control in all repairs and inspections.
• Plan and track preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• oversee spare parts usage and inventory accountability.
• Inspect buses before release for cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and parts usage.
• Report any tampering, negligence, or poor workmanship.
• organize urgent repairs with operations to reduce downtime.
• Ensure workshop staff follow safety rules and discipline.
• help with audits and investigations on maintenance issues.

3. Requirements

• Secondary education or Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent;
• Minimum ~3 years of hands-on experience in professional workshops.

4. Other Skills:

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Keen attention to detail and safety.
• Team player who follows instructions and deadlines.
• Honest, dependable, and proactive in daily duties.
