Tender Notice for Supply, Delivery and Installation of Electrophoresis, Apheresis and Auto Staider Machines

ADDENDUM No 1

TENDER REFERENCE: 213/G/ICB/2025/2026/RMS LTD,

TENDER TITLE: SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF ELECTROPHORESIS, APHERESIS AND AUTO STAIDER MACHINES

Rwanda Medical Supply Limited would like to notify invited manufacturers/suppliers the following amendments regarding the aforementioned tender. 

1. Clarification of Technical Specifications

The Technical Specifications have been reviewed, and the clarifications provided in the attached revised Technical Specifications shall form an integral part of the tender document. All bidders are requested to produce and submit their bids in accordance with these clarified specifications.

ITEM1 : ELECTROPHERESIS MACHINE ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATION :

1. Hemoglobin electrophoresis: giving us data on at least HBA, HBF, HBA2, HBS, HBC, and H ( Total number is 300 tests 
2. Serum protein electrophoresis(Total number : 150 TESTS)
3.  Immunofixation (IFE)/Immunophenotyping (Total number : 80 Tests )
4. Urine protein electrophoresis: 100 TESTS
5.  Serum Free Light Chain: 80 TESTS
6.  Serum Free Light Chain (Bens Jones protein: 80 TESTS

N.B: This will include all controls, buffers etc.

ITEM 2 : APHERESIS MACHINE ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATION 

1. Granulocytes= 100 pcs
2. Red blood cells= 300 pcs
3. Plasma=50 pcs

 fitting for both peripheral and central lines: central line should be 15% of the total number), containers, anticoagulants etc.

ITEM 3: AUTOSTAINER ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATION.

Instrument Function

• Compact and efficient H&E autostainer which can stain up to 200 slides per hour
• Can stain over 150 slides per hour with typical protocols
• 18 reagent stations 5 wash stations and an integrated forced hot air oven that significantly reduces slide drying time

• Staining programs can be terminated at any reagent and racks can be removed prior to completion of the staining protocol
• Integrated program recognition where the autostainer will not start a stain protocol that it is incompatible with another stain
  protocol already in progress
• Programming flexibility allows a stain protocol to begin or end in any station and move in any station sequence that
  maximizes utilization of the instrument
• Water saving feature which stops the flow of water if none of the wash stations is in use
• Minimized exposure to hazardous fumes with the integrated fume containment hood and extraction fan with integral charcoal filter
• PC access for fault diagnosis by service engineer

2. Extension of Tender Opening Date

To allow all prospective bidders sufficient time to evaluate the clarified Technical Specifications and produce responsive bids, the tender submission and opening deadline has been extended as follows:

• Original Tender Opening Date: ( 20th July 2026 at 10:30 a.m ) 
• Original Submission of bids deadline:(( 20th july 2026 at 10:00 a.m)
• New Tender Opening Date: (27th July 2026 at 10:30 a.m )
• New Submission of bids deadline:(( 27th july 2026 at 10:00 a.m))

Bidders are requested to take note of these amendments when preparing and submitting their bids.

NB: Other clauses, which are not mentioned in this addendum No1 remain unchanged as announced in initial tender.
