JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Teaching

• produce and deliver courses in area of specialization
• Teach subjects according to academic modules
• Assess students through continuous assessments and examinations

1. Research

• create research proposals in relevant specialization areas
• Attract internal and external research funding
• perform research addressing community health problems
• Publish research findings at national and international level
• Supervise Master’s, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows

1. Community Outreach

• Disseminate research findings to stakeholders
• produce policy briefs for decision makers
• Participate in scientific conferences and workshops

1. Consultancy

• perform consultancy services in area of specialization
• Compete for research grants and income-generating consultancies

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD or Master’s Degree (≥70% / Second Class Upper) in Medicine
• At least 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals with DOI links
• Good command of English (oral and written)
• Rwandan nationality

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Sub-specialty training in:
  • Dermatology
  • Anesthesiology
  • Neurosurgery
  • Clinical Psychology (PhD)
