Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and functional abilities.
• create individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Help patients regain or enhance independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• deliver rehabilitation for patients with neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, or other disabling conditions.
• Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
• track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• keep accurate patient records, assessments, treatment notes, and progress reports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, speech therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
• Ensure compliance with professional ethics, infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Participate in continuous professional development, clinical teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• BSC (HONS) Occupational Therapy
• 3 Years of relevant experience

Required Certificate

• Valid License to practice issued by the professional council in Rwanda.
