Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will respond to technical needs with the aim of ensuring the continuity and reliability of the customer's activities and maximising the profitability of the company's portfolio. 

Your main tasks:

  • Proven maintenance experience on stationary gas engines, gensets, or CHP/cogeneration units; MWM TCG experience a strong plus.
  • track repair procedures and after-sales service working methods.
  • Supervise workshop work.
  • oversee and schedule after-sales service teams.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical and human problems.
  • track team attendance and punctuality.
  • track and readjust planned work.
  • track productivity and hours worked by after-sales service production staff.
  • make sure that repair deadlines are met in coordination with the Workshop Coordinator and Section Managers.
  • Inform the Technical Director of any deviations or delays that have occurred.
  • Detects and analyses shortcomings in coordination with the Technical Director.
  • Monitors and participates in the receipt and delivery of parts/machines.
  • Monitors the preparation of lists of parts to be ordered.
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards.
  • Familiarity with the MWM TEM (Total Electronic Management) system and manufacturer diagnostic tools.
  • Electrical, gas, and ATEX authorizations (essential for biogas/explosive atmospheres); working-at-height a plus.
  •  Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Strong methodical troubleshooting, combustion analysis, and alarm interpretation skills.

 Required profile

Education:

  • Technical education – Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance engineering (or equivalent experience).
  •     Exceptional and relevant experience and expertise may compensate for the lack of an engineering degree.

Experience:

  • Electrical skills – Knowledge of alternators, power/control panels, sensors, and actuators
  • Gas engine experience – Proven maintenance experience on stationary gas engines, gensets, or CHP/cogeneration units; MWM TCG experience a strong plus.
  • Engine mechanics – Skilled in cylinder heads, valve adjustment, turbochargers, ignition systems, and lubrication.
  • Electrical skills – Knowledge of alternators, power/control panels, sensors, and actuators.
  • Control systems – Familiarity with the MWM TEM (Total Electronic Management) system and manufacturer diagnostic tools.
  • Certifications – Electrical, gas, and ATEX authorizations (essential for biogas/explosive atmospheres); working-at-height a plus.
  • Technical drawings – Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Auxiliary systems – Knowledge of cooling circuits, heat exchangers, exhaust/emissions, and lambda combustion control.
  • Diagnostics – Strong methodical troubleshooting, combustion analysis, and alarm interpretation skills.
  • Autonomy & availability – Driving license, mobility across sites, ability to work independently, and availability for on-call duty; technical English required.
