Key Responsibilities

  • Establish methods and schedules for sampling, laboratory analysis and quality assurance,
  • Perform jar tests and determine chemical dosage to be applied on large scale plant
  • Performs daily tests: Physico-chemical and microbiology parameters (including Ecoli, Total coliforms, conductivity, chlorides, fluorides, total solids, nitrates, sulfides,
  • phosphates, silica, guide, copper, odor, and others as required)
  • produce reagents; keep laboratory equipment and records; for Rural WSS,
  • assist water quality monitoring in sub-branches
  • Ensure compliance to policies and procedures at WASAC Utility, ensure the safety
  • standards set are met
  • keep all laboratory records and reporting to his/her supervisor at designated
  • time and with WASAC's reporting platform.
  • Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of water
  • Be competent with repair and maintenance, small calibration of laboratory
  • Equipment Perform any other duties that may be assigned

Minimum required Qualifications

Secondary School Certificate A-Level (A2) or Advanced Diploma in Chemistry and Biology Sciences, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory, Chemistry and Biology combination; Mathematics-Chemistry and Biology combination (MCB); Analytical Chemistry; or Environmental Health Sciences.
