REPORTS TO
HoD, Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry (BDT) – CMHS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Technical Operations & Research assist
  • Perform laboratory tests and data analysis accurately and professionally
  • assist lecturers, clinicians, and senior staff in research and clinical work
  • keep detailed records of laboratory and clinical activities
  1. Instructional & Student assist
  • produce practical sessions and ensure materials are ready for students
  • Assist students and faculty during laboratory and clinic sessions
  • deliver technical assist for student research projects
  1. Equipment & Resource Management
  • produce, calibrate, and keep laboratory and clinical equipment
  • oversee procurement and distribution of supplies
  • track use of reagents and ensure cost-effective operations
  1. Safety, Compliance & Waste Management
  • perform risk assessments for clinical and laboratory activities
  • Enforce health and safety protocols
  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of clinical waste and chemicals

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences / Nursing / Dental Surgery / Dental Therapy
  • Good command of English (oral and written)
  • Rwandan nationality

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Teaching experience in Higher Learning Institutions
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education or Teaching Portfolio Certificate

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Copy of National ID
  • Degree certificate (and equivalence if obtained outside Rwanda)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Valid clinical practice license
  • Any other supporting documents

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Dental Surgery
