JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Operations & Research assist

• Perform laboratory tests and data analysis with accuracy and technical proficiency
• assist lecturers, clinicians, and senior staff in research and clinical procedures
• keep detailed records of laboratory, clinical, and student practical activities

1. Instructional & Student assist

• produce practical coursework and ensure all materials and instruments are ready
• Assist students and faculty during laboratory and clinical sessions
• deliver technical guidance for student research projects

1. Equipment & Resource Management

• produce, calibrate, and keep laboratory and clinical equipment
• oversee procurement and distribution of consumables and non-consumables
• track use of reagents and ensure efficient, cost-effective operations

1. Safety, Compliance & Waste Management

• perform risk assessments for laboratory and clinical activities
• Enforce health and safety standards for all users
• Ensure proper storage of chemicals and safe disposal of waste materials

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Medical Surgical Nursing (Second Class Upper or ≥70%)
• Good command of English (oral and written)
• Valid clinical practice license
• Rwandan nationality

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Teaching experience in Higher Learning Institutions
• Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education or Teaching Portfolio Certificate
