JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Operations & Research assist

• Perform complex laboratory tests and data analysis accurately
• assist staff, lecturers, and clinicians in research/clinical procedures
• keep detailed records of lab results and student practicals

1. Instructional & Student assist

• produce laboratory practical sessions and materials
• Assist students and faculty during lab/clinic sessions
• deliver technical guidance for student research

1. Equipment & Resource Management

• produce, calibrate, and keep lab instruments
• oversee procurement and distribution of supplies
• track reagent use and reduce waste

1. Safety, Compliance & Waste Management

• perform risk assessments for lab/clinical activities
• Enforce health and safety protocols
• oversee safe storage and disposal of waste and chemicals

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences
• Good command of English (oral & written)
• Valid clinical practice license (if applicable)
• Rwandan nationality

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Teaching experience in Higher Learning Institutions
• Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning or Teaching Portfolio Certificate
