JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Operations & Research assist

• Perform laboratory tests and data analysis with high accuracy and technical skill
• assist lecturers, clinicians, and senior staff in research and clinical procedures
• keep detailed records of laboratory results and student practical sessions

1. Instructional & Student assist

• produce practical coursework and ensure all materials are ready for students
• Assist students and faculty during laboratory and clinical sessions
• deliver technical guidance during student research projects

1. Equipment & Resource Management

• produce, calibrate, and keep laboratory and clinical equipment
• oversee procurement and distribution of consumables and non-consumables
• track use of reagents and reduce waste for cost efficiency

1. Safety, Compliance & Waste Management

• perform risk assessments for laboratory and clinical activities
• Enforce strict health and safety standards
• Ensure proper storage and disposal of chemical and clinical waste

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health Sciences
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent English communication skills
• Rwandan nationality

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree (≥70% / Second Class Upper) in Environmental Health Sciences
