UBWIZA SACCO KARONGI (USK)is a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) established following the consolidation of Thirteen Umurenge SACCOs operating within Karongi District, in accordance with the Government of Rwanda SACCO consolidation framework.

UBWIZA SACCO KARONGI is duly registered underRCA Certificate No. RGDG013541 and licensed by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR).

In accordance with Law N° 072/2021 of 05/11/2021 governing Deposit-Taking Microfinance Institutions, UBWIZA SACCO KARONGI is authorized to carry out microfinance activities in the Republic of Rwanda.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Experience Requirements

Minimum three (3) years in Auditing, compliancy or accountant in SACCO, MFI or Banks.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance:

• keep proper records and audit evidence.
• perform a special audit of the funds on hand and verify how these funds are used and authorized, to make sure that no errors are made.
• Verify that shares, deposits, loan payments, and interests are correctly recorded in the Cooperative’s IT system and make sure that they are properly processed.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Compliance reports.
• Professionalization of SACCO practice.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Reporting and decision-making ability.

Added Advantage

CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
