Expression of Interest for Provision of Specialist Services in Integrated Catchment Management Planning, and Planning and Designing of Solutions for Restoration and River Rehabilitation at Two Pilot Project Sites

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PROVISION OF SPECIALIST SERVICES IN INTEGRATED CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT PLANNING, AND PLANNING AND DESIGNING OF SOLUTIONS FOR RESTORATION AND RIVER REHABILITATION AT TWO PILOT PROJECT SITES

Trinity Metal Ltd(Trinity Nyakabingo, Trinity Musha and Trinity Rutongo Mines Ltd) is seeking for a suitably qualified, experienced and local Rwandan company to deliver specialized professional services for the development of Integrated Catchment Management Plans for all mine concessions, and to plan and design engineered and nature- based solutions for identified pilot projects to address site restoration and river rehabilitation.

1. SCOPE OF WORK: 

The scope of this work includes, but not limited to the following:

A. Integrated Catchment Management Plans: 

• Professional fees for the drafting ofICMP for all three of the Trinity Metals mines (i.e Nyakabingo, Rutongo and Musha) based on existing studies such as: Hydrological Models and Floodline determination; Present Ecological State studies; Ecosystems Goods and Services; Hydrocensus; and groundwater models.
• The ICMP will serve as a masterplan guiding Trinity Metals and its partners in government, other industries, and civil society in addressing environmental degradation across the three concession areas, including the context of illegal mining activities and climate change projections. 

B. Planning and design of pilot projects for Site Restoration and River Rehabilitation:

•  Professional fees associated with the planning, design, and implementation assist for two pilot projects at Rutongo and Ntunga Mines. 
• The scope of work is limited to the planning and design of actions required to address the compliance-related aspects of the pilot projects. This includes: assessment of site opportunities and constraints; and Planning and design of rehabilitation interventions utilizing a combination of engineered and nature-based solutions. 

2. REPORTING AND DELIVERABLES

1. produce ICMP for each mine.Draft ICMPs will be developed for management evaluate and presentation to shareholders, prior to finalization. 
2. Identification, Planning and Design of Pilot Projects.
   • Conceptual Scope of Works and design for 2 pre-determined Pilot Projects;
   • Detailed designs and Implementation, monitoring and reporting plans for the two pilot projects, incorporating a combination of engineering and nature-based solutions. 

3. Standards & Guidelines 

The work shall, where applicable, align with international best-practice guidelines for water stewardship, applicable national water legislation and relevant client-specific standards and procedures.

4. Schedule

The anticipated duration of the assignment is expected to be approximately 4 months, subject to data availability, access arrangements, and evaluate periods.

• Details of at least three similar projects undertaken in Rwanda in the last five years.
• Certificate of domestic company registration issued by RDB.
