JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

deliver and organize Patient Care:

1. Assess the patient's general health status.
2. produce a nursing care plan according to the needs and area of collaborate with the help of other healthcare and professionals.
3. deliver full antenatal care including screening tests in the hospital.
4. Examine the client during pregnancy, utilizing physical findings, laboratory test results and client statements to evaluate conditions.
5. Give assist and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breastfeeding.
6. deliver postpartum care management.
7. Document and communicate actions to keep continuity of care among the nursing team.
8. Assume and keep the patient and his environment hygiene and infection control.
9. Record, report and track vital signs, symptoms and changes in patient's conditions and signs with staff's full name.
10. Record manually and/or electronically patient information.
11. Deliver detailed instructions and information to patients / families in collaboration with the physician.
12. produce and takes ward rounds with physicians.
13. Educate patient and his/her family their roles of promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation.
14. Administer and document medications as prescribed, within hesitation collaborate with prescriber physicians and sign.
15. Take care of all materials and equipment at disposal to the service.
16. Engage in research activities related to nursing and mentor nursing students in the clinical practice.
17. Deliver detailed nursing instructions to patients for discharge.
18. produce patients for examinations.
19. produce rooms and decontaminate equipment and instruments.
20. Attend educational workshops to enhance professional and technical knowledge.
21. Assist doctors during surgery.

N.B

1. The candidate should have a valid license to practice midwifery in Rwanda issued by the professional council.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced diploma in Midwifery Sciences.

5 Years of relevant experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES

• License certificate of the National Council for Nurses and Midwifery

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Good knowledge of Rwanda Health System.

1. Knowledge of clinical services Policy and procedure.
2. Accountability AND RESPONSIBILITY of the legal obligations for midwifery practice.
3. Ability to keep ethical midwifery practice.
